Cairns Better Care was established to create innovative services designed to suit the individual needs of the person with a disability and their carers.

We are primarily focused on professional in-home care and disability support services to people in need of assistance, specialising in complex needs support across the Far North Queensland region.Recognising the ongoing changes in people’s lifestyles, we endeavour to provide flexible services that meet the needs of the clients, carers and community.

Developing a range of programs which incorporate Community Participation and linking has enabled CBC to promote community awareness.

Our purpose

Our purpose is to provide the best supports and services to those in need. We have a team of professional, empathetic support workers that provide the right care tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. We respect our client’s right to choice and spend the time tailoring supports and services to each individual to help them live life to their fullest potential. We are committed to ensuring our clients feel comfortable and secure. We recognise that people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds may be hesitant to seek support due to language barriers or any other beliefs. We are able to allocate support workers that speak your language and respect your beliefs. CBC fully supports and recognises individual’s ability to make their own choices and decisions and work with individuals and families to develop plans for support that recognise those choices and facilitates opportunities for growth and change.

Our services focus on participant-centred long term sustainable support that allows participants to lead fulfilling lives at home and in their community. Our vision is to lead Australia when it comes to supporting individuals with a disability to lead their best life. CBC welcomes the changes to the industry under a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and is ready to work collaboratively with you, to support you in a way that best meets your needs; with as little or as much help from CBC as you choose.
